The company from Ankara is establishing a wood factory in Kazakhstan.

Political tension with the Gulf and North African countries, unresolved relations with Russia changed the course of Turkish investors. The new target market of Turkish companies in areas such as textiles, automotive and construction has become Europe and Central Asia. Ankara headquarters Butuğ İnşaat is one of them.

Generally interested in infrastructure construction, Butuğ decided to make the first production investment abroad in Kazakhstan. The Turkish company, which negotiated for wood production in Petropavlovsk Pipe Factory located in the north of Kazakhstan, also received the support of Kazakh Invest, which belongs to the Kazak Government.

It is aimed to produce approximately 18 thousand cubic meters of laminated plywood annually in the facility established on an area of ​​10 thousand square meters. In the project, realized with an investment of 2 billion Tenge, that is approximately 35 million TL, an employment environment will be d for 150 people.

The Turkish company will invest through Reform Stroy LLP, which it established in Kazakhstan.

Equipments ; from Turkey, Russia and Germany

The company's Director Oguzhan Steel, "Equipment for production in Turkey, Germany and will be supplied from Russia. The quality of our products is important to us. Therefore, we will use advanced technologies for steaming, bonding and pressing. Today, products from Russia are widely used in the Kazakh market. We hope that products produced in Kazakhstan can replace imported goods, ”he says.

First investment in the region

According to Daniyar Shalabayev, Regional Manager of Kazak Invest North Kazakhstan, laminated plywood is widely used for the production of monolithic structures and formwork. Such products are in great demand in the Kazakhstan market. This investment will be the first project in the Northern Kazakhstan region. The facility will be put into production by the end of this year.

Butuğ İnşaat, headquartered in Ankara, founded in 1995 by the Çelik family, is generally known for its investments in real estate.
