SOFIA (Bulgaria), May 5 (SeeNews) - Romania-based furniture and decoration online retailer Vivre operating in Central and Eastern Europe said on Tuesday that its sales have increased by 42% year-on-year in the January-April period of 2020.
The retailer has received via its website some 350,000 orders exceeding a total value of 22 million euro ($23.8 million) in the first four months of the year, Vivre Bulgaria said in an e-mailed statement.
Vivre attributed the rise in sales to increased interest in online shopping, improvements in the flow of operations and the logistics network, as well as the self-isolation of customers due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Vivre services orders placed predominantly by clients from Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary and Croatia, it said.
"We continue with our investments in management, marketing, social activities, striving for fast and stable growth," Vivre CEO Monica Cadogan said in the statement.
Vivre said earlier this year that it will focus on increasing the number of its partners and expanding its product portfolio in 2020.
Last month, the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) said that euro-denominated corporate bonds issued by Vivre will start trading on its Multilateral Trading System (MTS) on April 10. Vivre will use the financing raised to support its development strategy, especially through investments in marketing tools, technology and automation.
Launched in 2012, Vivre currently offers more than 150,000 different products and operates on nine markets in Central and Eastern Europe - Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Poland and Greece. The company has a customer network of over 800,000.
