IKEA, the world's largest furniture company, is preparing to take back old furniture as part of its recycling project.
With the project to be implemented next month, some of the furniture will be returned, along with the product named Billy, one of the company's best-selling shelving units.

Under the plan, coupons up to 50 percent of their value will be given for products that are no longer undesirable and announced to be withdrawn, and these coupons can be spent in stores.

The Swedish-based company is preparing to launch this take-back project simultaneously with "Black Friday" next month.
In the statement made by IKEA, it was also noted that the initiative aims to raise awareness against "excessive consumption".
In the initiative to be implemented internationally, the recovery values ​​of the furniture will be determined in proportion to their wear.

COMES TO LIFE IN 27 COUNTRIES

For new products that do not have a scratch, a coupon will be given at 50 percent of the sales price. Up to 30 percent for products with many scratches.

The project, which will be implemented in 27 countries, will include products without flooring such as shelving units, chairs, footrests and dining tables.

In the statement made by IKEA, it was noted that all these products that cannot be resold will be recycled.

The company is preparing to areas in all of its stores where furniture is resold and used or repaired furniture is sold.

Presenting its first collection in 1948, some nostalgic products of the company can be exchanged for high amounts.

The company was testing the resale initiative in the cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow.
