ALBANY, Ore — One local organization is hoping to fill up an empty warehouse with furniture for families who have lost everything to the Oregon wildfires.
On October 3, Furniture Share is holding a drive at their warehouse in Albany. They are asking anyone who can donate TVs, beds, couches, tables and more.
"It just breaks my heart. I can't imagine a family not having furniture," Michelle Robinson, the executive director of Furniture Share said. "I always tell people, 'I challenge you to take your bed our of your room. Take your furniture out of your living room and put it in the garage. You sleep on the floor, you sit on the flood and you watch TV for a week and you tell me how you did. How productive were you? How did your children do at school without a night's sleep?'"
To off furniture and other goods, the drive will be held at from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at 33566 SE Columbus St., Albany, OR, near Old Highway 34
