AIMSAD CEO Mustafa Erol: 2020 will be our year of advancing

AIMSAD board chairman Mustafa Erol, who has evaluated 2019 and shared his foresights of 2020 concerning the woodworking machinery industry, said “2020 might be the year of advancing for Turkey. The growth will surpass that of 2019’s. We will see a serious increase in both the domestic market and exportation.” Mustafa Erol stated that the sum of woodworking machinery exportations in the first 10 months of 2019 was $79M, and that the sum of importations was about $38M. Erol reported that Algeria, Iraq, Romania, Bulgaria, Russia, Spain, Poland, Egypt, the UK, and Kosovo were the countries that the most exportation respectively took place to. As for the importations; Germany, China, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Taiwan, France, Finland, India, and South Korea made up the top 10. “America and Southern Asia are the new target markets.” Mustafa Erol, who stated that 2020 is the year of advancing for Turkey, explained that various target countries could make it into the list of target markets. Erol who has given examples for these markets, said “For example; the efforts have increased for America, Vietnam, Indonesia, Southern Asian countries like Malaysia. Due to their domestic economic slumps, the share of Arab countries in exportation may decrease a little bit. Northern Africa could continue just the same, I think. China is a continuous global player. As a matter of fact, the Chinese Century is coming, in my opinion. But they are a market, too.” Every increase in the construction industry returns to us tenfold. In my estimation, we will have a big leap in this area, too. The growth is definitely going to surpass that of 2019’s. We will see a serious increase in both domestic markets and exportation. The increase will be both currency-based and domestic market-based. Furniture companies have also resorted to exportation and great amounts of purchases. Because they haven’t been investing for the past 2-3 years. And our machine tracks wear out quickly. They need updating, the trends change very quickly. We aren’t like the classic machine industry. We are expecting various leaps in the upcoming seasons as well. 2020 may be a year way above expectations for us. I don’t think there will be any decreases.”                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Furntr News Center
